Bayer’s CONTOUR® USB’s user friendly operation and innovative features have contributed to it winning a silver Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA).

The MDEA sponsored by the specialist journal Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry recognises excellence in medical product design and manufacturing. The independent panel of judges commented on its light weight, visual attractiveness and style, and the fact the information can be read out easily.

The Bayer meter, which was only launched in the UK at the beginning of this year, won the award in the in-vitro diagnostics category, and its product development team was presented with a trophy at an awards ceremony in New York.
