Where do I get my CONTOUR test strips?

You can obtain them on prescription from your GP and then have them dispensed by your local pharmacy or purchase them online. Prescription code is: 304-0276 (UK), 81537 (Ireland).

What happens if I can't get my test strip prescription fulfilled?

If you find yourself in a situation where your phamacist is unable to completely fulfil your test strip prescription as quickly as you might expect, it can be difficult to know what to do.  If this happens to you, there are some alternative options to try:

• You don't have to take your prescription to the pharmacy next to your GP surgery.  If your local pharmacy is out of stock of test strips, you could try another pharmacy to see if they can help.  But always make sure the pharmacist has all the items on your prescription before you leave it behind, as a partially fulfilled prescription cannot be redeemed elsewhere.

What happened to Ascensia MICROFILL test strips?

In January 2009, Ascensia MICROFILL test strips were renamed CONTOUR test strips to match the name of the CONTOUR meter. At the same time, Ascensia MICROLET lancets were renamed MICROLET lancets. Only the names changed – the test strips and lancets have stayed the same and the prescribing codes are also the same.
