Bayer Diabetes Care Customer Charter
Bayer Diabetes Care is committed to data protection, especially due to the sensitive nature of disclosing that you have diabetes. The purpose of this customer charter is to outline when you will be asked to provide your personal details, and how that data will be used.
When and why Bayer Diabetes Care will ask for your details:
- When you create an account on the Bayer Diabetes Care website, you’ll enter your data on an encrypted page
- You need only enter your data once. You do not need to provide your information every time you wish to take an action
- In entering your data and adding a Bayer meter to your profile, you have registered your Bayer meter for warranty purposes. You will automatically be entitled to the benefits of warranty registration including a free replacement meter should the need arise
How your details will be used:
- Data will be held on a database maintained securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act
- Your personal data will not be disclosed to another company unless it is essential to fulfil an action you have requested or to process an order
- We may contact you with product information and updates, or to advise you of improvements to our customer service. If you no longer wish to receive these updates, email diabetes@bayer.co.uk or call 0845 600 6030 (1 890 920 111 in the Republic of Ireland)
- If you decide you do not wish to receive information or updates from us, we will only use your data to fulfil a specific request or order
